Julius C. "Jack" Mente was a younger brother of Eugene W. Mente, and was Vice President of Mente & Company, Inc. Like several of his brothers, he never married, and when he died in 1934 he left an estate in excess of $6,780,000 in 2014 dollars. His older brother Eugene was substantially more wealthy than Jack.

Instrumental in running Mente & Company, was Harold Danziger, whose name appears at the top of the letterhead below as the Sales Manager of Mente & Company. In doing a little research into Harold I came across the following entry on his family tree, which bears out his education and dedication:
“HAROLD DANZIGER, b. 14 February 1892, New Orleans, Louisiana; d. 24 September 1957, New Orleans, Louisiana. Exeter 1909, Yale 1913. Worked at Mente & Co entire career as Mr. Mente's right hand man. Never married. Metairie Cem., Metairie, Louisiana” I then searched for Metairie Cemetery and found Mr. Danziger. He is included here, as apparently he was a very important man in the lives of Julius and Eugene Mente. | ![]() Older brother Alvin W. Mente and Jack C. Mente |
